I always needed time on my own

one my own：我自己
做...靠..自己，独立完成：
do sth. on one's own
do sth. by oneself



I never thought I'd need you there when I cried

thought：（think 的过去式）想，认为
think - thought - thought
never thought：从没想过




And the days feel like years when I'm alone

alone：孤单的，孤独的
I’m alone：表示孤单的状态
the days feel like years：度日如年

And the bed where you lie is made up on your side

the bed：特指 你躺过的那张床
lie：这里是 躺 的意思
is made up：被动语态
make up：形成，组成
make up the bed：整理床铺
makeup：化妆
make up forever：化妆品牌

When you walk away I count the steps that you take

walk away：转身离开
count：v. 数，把... 算在其内
n. 总数
that doesn't count：那可不算
counting stars 来自 One Republic（live版）

step：脚步，步骤
step one， step two：步骤一，步骤二
one step，two steps：一步，两步



Do you see how much I need you right now?

right now：从事此刻
see：这里是 明白，知道的意思
oh，I see！哦，我知道了！

When you're gone

gone：（go 的过去分词）走
这里表已经离开的 状态



The pieces of my heart are missing you

the pieces of my heart：我心灵的碎片
miss：想念，思念





When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too

the face：特指 你的脸
miss：这里则是 丢失，消失，遗漏，错过




When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day

word：单词（其实也可以表示话语的意思）
“ 我保证 ” 的三种表达
You have my word.
I'll keep my word.
I promiss you.（更官方一些）
words：话语
get through：通过，度过，到达




And make it ok, I miss you

接上一句，“并让那些日子不那么漫长”
I miss you：我好想你
