upward：向上
forward：向前
backward：向后

away：离开
drove： drive 的 过去式
drive-- drove-- driven：开车，驱动
mile：英里


But now here you are again

here you are：1. 买东西时，here you are，给你
2. 在我身边，在这里
there you are！


So let’s skip the “how you been”

skip：跳过，略过

how you been = how have you been
这些日记还好吗（这里指客套寒暄）
类似的还有：
how do you do；how are you doing


And get down to the “more than friends” at last

get down：1. 趴下（下来）
2. 向下发展
at last：在最后
more than friend：情谊比朋友更深

didn't = did not （+ until）
