作者介绍：

爱德华·埃斯特林·卡明斯（Edward Estlin Cummings）（1894-1962年），美国诗人。他的诗作大都没有标点和大写字母。他也经常将自己的名字写“e.e.cummings”他共出版了13本诗集，当时在国内拥有众多读者，仅次于Robert Frost。本诗是卡梅隆·迪亚茨在电影《偷穿高跟鞋》中姐姐的婚礼上朗读过，用以表达妹妹对姐姐的祝福和爱。诗原本表达的是失去挚爱后的坚贞与思念。情势不同，但相通的是，爱让生命延续。
